Nuestra actualidad
Nuestra institución se caracteriza por la búsqueda de la excelencia educativa, para ello el Colegio Americano ha formalizado acuerdos de colaboración y asesoría con varias instituciones de prestigio nacional, como el Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), para instrumentar proyectos orientados a desarrollar habilidades cognitivas: Aprender a Pensar y Desarrollo de Habilidades del Pensamiento. El 27 de noviembre de 2002, se celebró un convenio con el mismo Instituto para ofrecer a su personal docente y administrativo la posibilidad de llevar a cabo estudios de postgrado a través de la Universidad Virtual, y del mismo modo, padres de familia y alumnos tendrán una alternativa más para mejorar su preparación por medio de cursos, talleres y conferencias que serán impartidas por medio de transmisiones de televisión vía satélite e Internet.

The vision
On September 7, 1985, a group of teachers initiated a project for a new school in Villahermosa: Colegio Americano de Tabasco. The vision that motivated them offered, as an alternative to other education systems, a comprehensive, on-going and humanistic education centered around the student in order to form accomplished individuals capable of analytical and critical thinking carried out in an environment of respect.
Our beginnings
Present day
Our institution is characterised by its consistency in excellent education. To continue providing excellent education, Colegio Americano collaborates with various prestigious national insitutions such as Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) to implement projects geared towards developing cognitive abilities: Critical Thinking Skills. On November 27, 2002 Colegio Americano formalized an agreement with ITESM to offer post-graduate studies to teachers and staff through their virtual university option. Students and parents would likewise have an opportunity to improve their education through courses, workshops and conferences which which will be broadcast on satellite television and the internet.
Currently, CAT has approximately 2000 students enrolled:
10 groups in Pre-school
24 groups in Primary School
12 groups in Secondary School
14 groups in High School
Teachers, staff, and administrative personnel consist of 311 people. It´s important to note that to this day, 10,424 students have graduated from this school: 3,061 pre-school students across 29 generations, 2,800 primary school students across 24 generations, 2,467 secondary school students across 21 generations, 2,096 high school graduates across 18 generations.
